Pemiscot County

Route EE: The construction of five bridges on Route EE in Pemiscot County is now complete; however, contractor crews will still be in the area to remove the existing bridges. Completion is anticipated Saturday, April 1. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area. No lane closures are anticipated. The bridges are part of the Missouri Department of Transportation’s Bootheel Bridge Bundle design-build project, which will improve 17 bridges throughout Southeast Missouri. Completion of the Bootheel Bridge Bundle design-build project is anticipated on or before Dec. 31, 2023. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state. Northbound and Southbound Interstate 155 in Pemiscot County will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction as contractor crews perform guardrail and pavement repairs.  This section of roadway is located from Interstate 55 to the Tennessee state line. As work progresses, the work zone will move to various locations along I-155. Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, April 4 through Monday, July 31, 2023 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. The work zones will be marked with signs. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.     

Northbound Interstate 55 in Pemiscot County will be reduced to one lane with a 11-foot width restriction as contractor crews perform concrete replacement.   This section of roadway is located from the mile marker 3.0 to mile marker 4.0.  Weather permitting, the work will take place Tuesday, June 20 through Friday, June 30 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.  

Northbound Interstate 55 in Pemiscot County will be reduced to one lane with an 11-foot width restriction as contractor crews perform concrete replacement.  This section of roadway is located from mile marker 9.6 to mile marker 11.8 near Steele, Missouri.  Weather permitting, work will take place Tuesday, June 20 through Friday, June 30 from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. 

Route 84 in Pemiscot County will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction as construction crews perform pavement repairs. This section of roadway is located from Route 412 to Interstate 55 in Hayti, Missouri. Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, June 19 through Monday, July 10 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.  

Beginning Monday, June 19th, contractor crews will be repaving Route C in Pemiscot County from Route 412 to Route 164.  Weather Permitting, work will take place daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. with an anticipated completion date of Monday, July 17.  During work, Route C will be closed for up to two business days at each of the five bridge approaches located along the route. The contractors will complete work at each bridge first, then begin repaving the route.  As construction is underway, flaggers will be present, and traffic will be guided through the work zone by a pilot car.
