Contractor crews will soon begin work to improve Route 5 in Douglas & Ozark Counties. The project includes shoulder stabilization and adding rumble strips from Route A in Douglas County to U.S. Route 160 in Ozark County. Motorists should anticipate a lane reduction. Weather permitting, work will be underway Friday, July 1 through Friday, Sept. 30 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., including weekends as necessary. As construction is underway, flaggers will be present, and traffic will be guided through the work zone by a pilot car.

The project includes pavement overlay and adding rumble strips from south Missouri Route 5 in Ozark County to Missouri Route 101 in Howell County. Motorists should anticipate a lane reduction with a 10-foot width restriction. Weather permitting, work will be underway Wednesday, May 18 through Friday, July 22 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., including weekends as necessary. As construction is underway, flaggers will be present, and traffic will be guided through the work zone by a pilot car.
