Dunklin County

Route 25 in New Madrid and Dunklin Counties will be reduced to one lane with an 11-foot width restriction as construction crews perform pavement resurfacing. This section of roadway is located from County Road 218 near Malden, Missouri to Route 84 in Kennett, Missouri. Weather permitting, work will take place from Monday, Jan. 23 through Tuesday. Oct. 31 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. Work will begin at the south limit of the project and move north. The work zone will be marked with signs during this moving operation. Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area. 

Route J in Dunklin County will be closed as contractor crews perform a bridge replacement. This bridge is located between Route JJ and Route H. Weather permitting, work will begin Thursday, Feb. 23 at 7 a.m. with completion anticipated Saturday, July 1. 

Improvements to Route 53 in Dunklin and Butler Counties will soon get underway. The project includes bridge work and pavement improvements from Route 25 in Holcomb, Missouri to Route 67 in Poplar Bluff. As construction is underway, Route 53 will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction in each work location. Work will begin with improvements to the bridge located between County Road 211 and County Road 215 near Qulin. Next, contractor crews will perform pavement repairs and replace guardrail in various locations along Route 53. Asphalt paving will then begin at Holcomb and move north until reaching Poplar Bluff. The project will begin Monday, March 27, with completion anticipated by Wednesday, Nov. 1, weather permitting.
