Route 142 in Ripley County will be closed as contractor crews replace the Little Black River bridge. This section of roadway is located between Route B and County Road B-3AA, near Naylor, Missouri. Weather permitting, work will begin Tuesday, May 26, with completion anticipated Friday, Aug. 14. A signed detour will be in place. This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state.
Route 142 in Oregon and Ripley Counties will be reduced to one lane with a 10-ft width restriction as contractor crews widen the shoulders and overlay the roadway from Route EE in Oregon County to Route 21 in Ripley County. Flaggers will be present, and traffic will be guided through the work zone by a pilot car. Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, July 13 through Thursday, Oct. 1 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m., including weekends as necessary.
