Howell County

Route ZZ in Howell County will be CLOSED as contractor crews replace the bridge over Howell Creek. The bridge closure will be located after County Road 8890 between the railroad tracks and County Road 8240. Weather permitting, work will begin Monday, May 15 with completion anticipated Friday, Sept. 15. This bridge is included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state. 

Westbound US 60 in Howell and Texas Counties will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction as contractor crews perform pavement improvements. This section of roadway is located from south US 63 in Willow Springs, MO. in Howell County to north US 63 in Cabool, MO. in Texas County. Weather permitting, work will take place Tuesday, March 14 through Friday, July 21 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.

U.S. 63 in Howell County will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction as contractor crews replace the bridge over BNSF Railroad. The bridge is located between County Road 9020 and County Road 9690 just north of Brandsville, Missouri. Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, May 8 to Sunday, December 31 from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily with some weekends as necessary.

Motorists should anticipate impacts to Business 63 in Howell County as contractor crews perform signal updates. This project is part of the Missouri Department of Transportation's initiative to bring roadway facilities into compliance with the current standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).  The following intersections in West Plains, Missouri will be improved: Business 63 at Porter Wagoner Boulevard, Business 63 at Missouri Avenue, and Business 63 at Washington Avenue.  Work will continue this week (June 5-9) with intermittent lane reductions from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.  Beginning June 12, intermittent full closures will be necessary as work continues. There will be intermittent full closures Monday, June 12 through Friday, June 30 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. including weekends as necessary. 

Missouri Route 17 in Howell County will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction as contractor crews construct shoulders and add rumble strips. This section of roadway is located from Route 160 to Route WW in Mountain View, Missouri. Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, June 19 through Thursday, Aug. 31 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.  

Eastbound U.S. Route 60 in Howell County will be reduced to one lane with a 12-foot width restriction as contractor crews perform erosion work. This section of roadway is located between Route AM and Route 76 near Willow Springs. Weather permitting, work will take place Monday, July 10 through Friday, July 28 from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
