Innovation Description and Benefit:

This innovation allows for a self-service, multi-purpose and rechargeable dry chemical fire extinguishers to allow MoDOT to stop using various costly service-based providers. My site alone will see a return of over $250 per unit over a 12-year period. The universal design allows for left or right-handed people to operate saving time when the seconds count. The carbon dioxide cartridge-based system is more reliable and safer than stored pressure units. This innovation highly reduces the frequency of accidental discharges in MoDOT vehicles. The high efficiency design allows for improved agent discharge, knocking down fire faster.
