Innovation Description and Benefit:

This innovation integrates KC Scout traffic cameras into MoDOT project webpages, enabling real-time video feeds that improve transparency and user experience. Previously, MoDOT relied on costly OxBlue cameras that provided only static images. By reformatting KC Scout camera links and coding them for compatibility, multiple live streams now display automatically in geographic order on project pages, allowing visitors to monitor construction progress and traffic impacts at no additional cost. This solution is already in use on the Improve I-70 Kansas City project webpage.
