2026 Central District Construction Guide

With hundreds of projects across the 18 counties of MoDOT’s Central District, drivers may encounter some type of construction this year on many of the routes they use daily. While the list is extensive, it does not include every project for 2026 but instead focuses on those with traffic impacts that are being done by contractors.

Most of these are taking care of the existing system, including projects that rehabilitate bridges, replace signals, improve intersections, and resurface roadways. To see the current active work zones, visit Traveler.modot.org. Make sure you click the 'future workzones' layer on the left-hand menu to see work scheduled to be performed by both MoDOT personnel and contractors in the next seven days.

Don’t see a project listed below for a road you’re concerned about? Check the STIP page for upcoming planned projects through 2030.
