Project Summary

The Missouri Route 32 bridge over Huzzah Creek in Dent County, southwest of Viburnum, is slated for replacement in 2027. Built in 1931, the bridge is in poor condition, showing signs it has reached the end of its useful life, and in need of replacement.

With a width of 30 feet, the new structure will be wider than the current bridge, which is 24-feet wide.

The Missouri Route 32 bridge is expected to remain open during construction, with a one-lane temporary bypass in place and temporary traffic signals directing motorists through the work zone.

Public Meeting

An in-person public meeting will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026, at the Quad County Fire Department from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Members of the project team will be on hand to provide information and answer questions from the community. There will be no formal presentation, so members of the public can come and go as they please during the advertised hours.
