22: At Home Training Program

Submitted by: Central Office - Safety & Emergency Management

Innovation Description and Benefit:

The At Home Training Program is designed for employees to have access to MoDOT training from any location on any device without the need of VPN.  Employees can access training from a cell phone, laptop, desktop computer, tablet or any device with internet connection and still get their MoDOT U credit.  The program is on an external website and includes various trainings including safety, maintenance operations, Traffic Incident Management, mental health, TED talks and other required MoDOT trainings. The program being housed on an external website with a direct link to all the trainings, keeps employees from having to search the MoDOT U database which saves time.  Having a direct link also simplifies the process by automatically enrolling an employee in a MoDOT U training and giving credit as soon as the course is completed.  By having the trainings available 24/7 from any device, we are ensuring employees get the required safety trainings to ensure a safe workplace.
