Innovation Description and Benefit:

This innovation is for the first use of Design – Build for a bridge bundle in Southeast District. The use of Design – Build for a bridge bundle saved MoDOT at least $1,063,000 in construction and PE costs. This was accomplished by adding two bridges on Missouri Route 153 in New Madrid county to the project without increasing the budget.
