The public is invited to an informational meeting to learn about the conceptual study of U.S. Route 63 corridor improvements in Schuyler and Adair counties, located between the Iowa state line and Kirksville.
This study will evaluate transportation needs and potential improvement concepts for the corridor between the Missouri/Iowa state line and 2.1 miles north of Route KK south of Kirksville. This will include opportunities for passing lanes and/or shared four-lane and other roadway improvements within the 33-mile corridor.
For the convenience of the public, two public meetings are planned in Adair and Schuyler counties at the following locations:
- Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Adair County Annex Building, located at 300 N. Franklin Street in Kirksville
- Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Schuyler R-1 Elementary School, located at 21701 Hwy. 63 in Queen City
A public comment form will open May 12, 2026 through May 25, 2026. Public comments will only be accepted during this time.
