MoDOT accepts applications on a continuing basis for employment categories of information technology, civil engineering, mechanics, surveying, highway maintenance, seasonal jobs, emergency jobs, interns, and co-ops. However, applications for these employment categories are NOT automatically considered for vacancies as they occur. To be considered for vacancies within these employment categories, you must submit an on-line application for a specific advertised job vacancy.
Applications are reviewed after the closing date of the job vacancy. We take hiring very seriously and the process can at times be lengthy. Depending on the position it can take several weeks to fill a vacancy, but we believe it's worth it to ensure we are hiring the right person to join the MoDOT team.
MoDOT values a diverse workforce and encourages female and minority applicants to apply. The department utilizes a panel interview process.
MoDOT is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate in employment because of race, sex, age, religion, color, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identification, veteran status, disability, or genetic information. Our goal is to ensure that all job applicants and employees are provided the absolute right to a discrimination-free employment process and work environment.
