ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in the Northwest Missouri region for the week of Jan. 6 – 12.
Though not listed below, some routes remain closed due to flooding. View all routes closed due to flooding at http://traveler.modot.org/map/.
Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. There may also be moving operations throughout the region such as pothole patching, striping, signal work, etc., in addition to the work mentioned below.
Atchison County
Route 111 – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project at the Mill Creek Bridge near Corning. The bridge will remain closed through spring 2020.
Route TT – Shoulder work, Jan. 6 – 10
Buchanan County
Interstate 29 – Shoulder work northbound at the south interchange near mile marker 43, Jan. 6
Carroll County
Route C – CLOSED until further notice at the Branch of Turkey Creek Bridge due to damage from flooding. A project to replace the bridge is scheduled to be a part of the February 2020 letting.
Route UU – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from County Road 301 to County Road 234, Jan. 6 – 8 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily
U.S. Route 65 – Bridge maintenance at the Shootman Creek Bridge and the Mound Creek Bridge, Jan. 6 – 9. Temporary traffic signals are in place to direct motorists through the work zone.
Chariton County
Route 11 – Shoulder work from Route M to Route E, Jan. 6 – 10
U.S. Route 24 – Bridge replacement project at the Mussel Fork River and Overflow Bridges west of Keytesville through early 2020. Traffic is being diverted over a one-lane, signalized bypass during the replacement of the Mussel Fork River Overflow Bridge.
U.S. Route 24 – Bridge replacement project at the Middle Fork Chariton River and Overflow bridges through February 2020. These bridges are part of Governor Parson’s “Focus on Bridges” program. Traffic will be directed through the work zone with temporary traffic signals. A 10-foot width restriction is in place.
Clinton County
Route W – CLOSED for a culvert replacement between SE 240th Road and SE 228th Road, Jan. 6 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Daviess County

Route 6 – Pothole patching from I-35 to Route 13, Jan. 6 – 7
Route K – Drainage work at Route K, Jan. 7 – 8

Route MM – Drainage work 0.5 mile west of Route 13, Jan. 9 – 10
DeKalb County
Route E – Culvert replacement at NE Santa Rosa Road, Jan. 6
Harrison County
Route 46 – Drainage work 0.2 mile west of Route NN, Jan. 7
Holt County
Route T – CLOSED until further notice at Mill Bluff Road due to roadway damage

U.S. Route 71 – Pothole patching from the Iowa state line to U.S. Route 136, Jan. 7
Sullivan County
Route PP – CLOSED until further notice at the East Medicine Creek Bridge after a regularly scheduled inspection revealed critical deterioration to the structure. Worth County
Route YY – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project at the Middle Fork of the Grand River. The bridge is part of Governor Parson’s “Focus on Bridges” program.
