Proposed Project Timeline
MoDOT brought on HNTB Corporation to design a new bridge over the Little Tarkio Creek.
This emergency contract was part of the June 21, 2019 letting. At that time contractors were able to submit competitive bids for the project.
The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded a $2,531,620.95 contract to Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc. at their July 2019 meeting.
The Notice to Proceed date is the earliest the contractor may begin work on the project. The Notice to Proceed date was Aug. 5, 2019.
Construction began in January 2020. By contract, the contractor will have 80 working days and 112 calendar days to complete the project. Weather and flooding may play a role in these timeframes. Work is scheduled to be complete by the end of May. All work is weather permitting and subject to change.
By contract, the project was to be complete by Dec. 1, 2019, however, weather and flooding changed the schedule for much of this project. The contractor now plans to have the bridge reopen in spring 2020.
