Planned Road Work for Northwest Missouri, Oct. 14 - 20

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in the Northwest Missouri region for the week of Oct. 14 - 20.

Continued flooding may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. There may also be moving operations throughout the region such as pothole patching, striping, signal work, etc., in addition to the work mentioned below.

All work is weather permitting and subject to change.

Andrew County

Route O – CLOSED at the Platte River Bridge for a bridge replacement project. The bridge will be closed through mid-November. More info: https://www.modot.org/route-o-platte-river-bridge-replacement

Atchison County

Route CC – CLOSED until further notice due to a damaged culvert under the roadway. The project was part of the September 2019 letting. The project was awarded Oct. 2 to Widel, Inc. A schedule for the project has not been determined yet.

U.S. Route 136 – CLOSED for flood debris removal and roadway repairs through mid-October

Route 111 – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project at the Mill Creek Bridge near Corning, through late November

U.S. Route 59 – Pothole patching from U.S. Route 136 to the Holt County line, Oct. 15 – 18

U.S. Route 59 – Culvert replacement and drainage work from the city limits of Fairfax to Route 46, Oct. 15 – 18

Route A – Culvert replacement and drainage work one mile west of Watson, Oct. 15 – 18

Route O – Culvert replacement and drainage work in the city limits of Westboro, Oct. 15 – 18

U.S. Route 136 – Bridge maintenance at the Interstate 29 overpass, Oct. 17 – 18. This includes a 16-foot width restriction.

Buchanan County

U.S. Route 59 – Resurfacing project from Route 752 to Route 45, Oct. 14 – 19

Route 371 – Resurfacing project from Route 752 to the Platte County line, Oct. 14 – 19. Flaggers will direct motorists through the work zone.

Caldwell County

Route A – Bridge maintenance at the Shoal Creek Bridge, Oct. 15

Route 13 – Bridge maintenance at the Shoal Creek Bridge, Oct. 15 – 16

Route 116 – Bridge maintenance at the Long Creek and Stevenson Creek bridges, Oct. 15 – 17

Carroll County

Route C – CLOSED until further notice at the Branch of Turkey Creek Bridge due to damage from flooding. The bridge replacement project is scheduled to be a part of the February 2020 letting.

U.S. Route 65 – Bridge rehabilitation at the Tator Hill Creek Bridge through late October. This includes a 16-foot width restriction.

U.S. Route 65 – Bridge rehabilitation at the Wakenda Creek Bridge through late November. This includes a 15-foot width restriction.

U.S. Route 65 – Bridge maintenance at the Shootman Creek and Mound Creek bridges, Oct. 14 – 18. Temporary traffic signals will be in place.

Route 41 – Flood repair project from 1.4 miles south of U.S. Route 24 to 1.2 miles north of the Missouri River near De Witt, Oct. 14 – 18

Route 10 – Bridge maintenance at the Moss Creek Bridge, Oct. 17 – 18

Chariton County

U.S. Route 24 – Bridge replacement project at the Mussel Fork River and Overflow Bridges west of Keytesville through early 2020. Traffic will be diverted over a one-lane, signalized bypass during the replacement of the Mussel Fork River Overflow Bridge. A 10-foot width restriction is in place.

U.S. Route 24 – Bridge replacement project at the Middle Fork Chariton River and Overflow bridges through early 2020. These bridges are part of Governor Parson’s “Focus on Bridges” program. Traffic will be directed through the work zone with temporary traffic signals. A 10-foot width restriction is in place.

Route HH – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Academy Road to Associated Road, Oct. 15, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Route VV – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route KK to Bill Bass Avenue, Oct. 16, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Route M – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Zion Avenue to Newcomer Avenue, Oct. 17, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Jordan Road – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from the east side of Route J to U.S. Route 24, Oct. 18, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Clinton County

I-35 – Concrete replacement southbound driving lane from Exit 48 to Exit 40, Oct. 15 – 18

Daviess County

Route 6 – CLOSED for a culvert replacement at the entrance to County Road 112, Oct. 16, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Gentry County

Route A – CLOSED for repairs from flood damage at the Grand River Bridge through October

Harrison County

I-35 – Resurfacing project from Eagleville to Bethany, Oct. 14 – 19

Route P – CLOSED for core drilling from Route TT to Route ZZ, Oct. 15, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

U.S. Route 69 – Shoulder repair from U.S. Route 136 to Route T (Daviess County), Oct. 15 – 18

Route 146 – Culvert replacement at Broadway Street in Gilman City, Oct. 16

Holt County

Route T – CLOSED until further notice at Mill Bluff Road due to roadway damage

Route 111 – Resurfacing and shoulder project from Route T in Forest City to U.S. Route 59 in Oregon, Oct. 14 – 19

U.S. Route 159 – Bridge maintenance at the I-29 overpass, Oct. 15 – 16. This includes a 16-foot width restriction.

Livingston County

U.S. Route 65 – Bridge rehabilitation at the Roach Lake Bridge, Oct. 14 – 19. This includes a 10-foot width restriction.

Nodaway County

Route AH – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route VV to 350th Street, Oct. 16, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route TT – CLOSED for a culvert replacement at the entrance to County Road 350th, Oct. 16, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Route NN – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route E to Navy Road, Oct. 17, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Putnam County

U.S. Route 136 – CLOSED for a bridge deck replacement project at the Brush Creek Bridge near Livonia through late October.

Sullivan County

Route PP – CLOSED until further notice at the East Medicine Creek Bridge after a regularly scheduled inspection revealed critical deterioration to the structure. Route 139 – Intersection and sidewalk improvements through Newtown beginning on the south end of town working north (east side of road) then south (west side of road), Oct. 14 – 18. More info: https://www.modot.org/route-139-newtown-ada-improvement

Route K – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Kart Road to London Road, Oct. 15, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Route MM – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route Z to Dogwood Drive, Oct. 16, 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Worth County

Route YY – CLOSED until further notice at the Middle Fork of the Grand River after a regularly scheduled inspection revealed critical deterioration to the structure. The bridge is part of Governor Parson’s “Focus on Bridges” program and will be included in the September 2019 letting. The project was awarded to Boone Construction Co.
