Innovation Description and Benefit:

This innovation aims to provide outreach and services to unsheltered individuals residing on MoDOT right-of-way, in the Downtown Kansas City area.  This involves notifying unsheltered citizens, offering of services, delivering services, and cleaning up right of ways.  Also included, is trash and graffiti removal from the right-of-way.  An RFP was issued, and a contract executed to provide these services.  The Downtown Community Improvement District was the selected provider for these services. Since this will typically be procured by RFP, the services can be scaled to meet required scope and budget. The successful vendor is required to follow MoDOT safety protocols.
