15: Striping Information & Planning System (SIPS)

Submitted by: Central District

Description and Benefit

Striping Information & Planning System is a tool created for striping crews to assist in planning work by simplifying the process to gain additional time and productivity, as well as saving time and cost. Time spent through the year planning days of striping is cut in half, with the ability to plan striping in the beginning of the year faster and each day or weeks’ worth of roads to stripe on hand during striping season, accounting for more miles striped at the end of the year. This innovation helps supervisors and crew leaders save time adding up and calculating daily lines miles, paint usage and bead usage to enter Maintenance Management System. Striping Information & Planning System makes the process of planning out a day or weeks’ worth of striping easy, by having the information the crew needs, on hand.
