Project Summary

Increased traffic volumes on both Route D and US 69, especially during peak periods, are driving the need to improve traffic flow at the intersection.  There is also a need to improve sight distance on US 69 just to the south of the intersection.

Current schedule for starting construction is tentatively planned for the summer of 2027 with the goal of completing construction within one year.

Traffic control during construction has not been finalized.  Constructing under traffic will greatly increase construction time and costs and may not be possible due to needed vertical profile adjustments to improve sight distance.  Closure of the intersection could speed up construction by 6 to 8 months.
