Improve I-70: Odessa to Concordia

Improve I-70: Odessa to Concordia will be a bid-build project that will add a third lane in each direction and replace the existing I-70 pavement along the stretch of Interstate 70 from just east of Odessa at approximately MO Route H (mile marker 43.5) to Route 23 in Concordia (approximately mile marker 59).  Improve I-70: Odessa to Concordia is currently in the design process with design consultant, Burns & McDonnell.

MoDOT plans to let this project in early 2027. Construction is currently scheduled to begin in Spring/Summer 2027 and is anticipated to be completed late 2029. Since its original construction more than 50 years ago, I-70 has been a vital lifeline for moving people, goods, and information across Missouri and beyond.
