Cooper and Pettis County Pavement Improvements
Crews resurfaced and widened the shoulders of Route 135, to accommodate new rumble strips, between Interstate 70 in Cooper County and U.S. Route 50 in Pettis County, and will resurface the entire length of Route 98, east of Boonville.

Work Taking Place:
Crews extended multiple box culverts along Route 135 in Cooper County to accommodate the wider shoulders, and replaced a deep culvert pipe at the intersection of U.S. Route 50 and Route 135 in Pettis County. This project also required crews to repair the pavement on the Interstate 70 ramps at exit 98, which leads to Routes 135/41 at Arrow Rock/Pilot Grove in Cooper County.
Project Milestones
In December 2019, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded a contract to Magruder Paving , which submitted the low bid of $4,955,267.
