Pavement Improvements to Temporarily Close Interstate 70 Ramps

COOPER COUNTY – The Missouri Department of Transportation will be making roadway improvements on a pair of Interstate 70 ramps next week near Boonville.

The pavement repairs will take place on the eastbound ramps at the Interstate 70 interchange with Route 135. Beginning Wednesday, July 22, crews expect to begin work on both the on- and off-ramps.

This work will require daytime ramp closures. Message boards will be in place to notify motorists, who will need to seek alternate routes.

Crews expect to complete this phase of the project by Friday, July 24. The ramp improvements are part of a larger project to expand shoulders and improve driving surfaces on Routes 135 and 98. The entire project is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.

This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
