Route 98 to Undergo Resurfacing Next Week in Cooper County

COOPER COUNTY – Motorists in Cooper County will see road work beginning on Route 98 next week.

A contractor working for the Missouri Department of Transportation will begin resurfacing the entire length of Route 98, east of Boonville, on Wednesday, August 19.

This work will require daily lane closures. Signs, flaggers and pilot vehicles will guide motorists through the work zone. Motorists are asked to slow down and watch for crews in work zones. MoDOT says the patience of motorists is appreciated.

This work is part of a larger project to expand shoulders and improve driving surfaces on Routes 135 and 98 in Cooper and Pettis Counties. The entire project is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.

This work is weather permitting and could be delayed.
