St. Joseph, Mo. – The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in the Northwest Missouri region for the week of April 27-May 3.
There may be moving operations, such as mowing, brush cutting and litter removal, throughout the region in addition to the work mentioned below. Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. Check the MoDOT Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org, or download the app for updated information.

Andrew County
Route CC – Bridge maintenance at the bridge over I-29, April 27-30. The bridge will be narrowed to one lane with temporary traffic signals.
Atchison County
U.S. Route 136 – Resurfacing and drainage improvement project through July 2026. The road will be narrowed to one lane, and a 10-foot width restriction will be in place. (Contractor: Herzog Contracting Corp.)
Routes 46, 111, V, B, C – Various bridge rehabilitation projects through May 2026. The bridges may be narrowed to one lane with flaggers. (Contractor: Capital Paving & Construction LLC). *2
Buchanan County
Interstate 29 – Northbound lanes narrowed to one lane overnight with short-term rolling closures while crews set new bridge girders for the Gene Field Road Bridge, April 28. 7 p.m. to 10 a.m. Motorists should expect delays. - I-29 ramp to Route 6 (Fredrick Boulevard) will be closed between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. due to rolling closure.

U.S. Route 169 – Intersection improvement project at Route FF through mid-August 2026. A 10-foot width restriction will be in place. Access to 49th Street will be closed through June 2026. (Contractor: Leavenworth Excavating & Equipment Company, Inc.)
I-229 – CLOSED overnight at the southbound ramp to Route A for sign maintenance, April 29, 7 p.m. to midnight.
U.S. Route 36 & Route AC (Riverside Road) – narrowed for core drilling on U.S. Route 36, Route AC, and the bridge on/off ramps, April 30 – May 1. Flaggers may be present to guide traffic through the work zones on Route AC.
Caldwell County
Route 13 –Resurfacing and ADA improvements project from Samuel Street to School Street in Hamilton through mid-May. Route 13 will be narrowed to one lane with flaggers. (Contractor: Herzog Contracting Corp.).
Carroll County
Route 41 – CLOSED around-the-clock at the Wakenda Chute Bridge until further notice for bridge deck repairs.
Route 10 – Pavement repair and resurfacing project from Route FF to Route C in Ray County, through May 15. The road will be narrowed to one lane with flaggers guiding motorists through the work zone. (Contractor: Emery Sapp and Sons LLC).
Chariton County
Route EE -- ADA improvements project from Route 139 to just west of Walnut Street in Sumner, through April 2026. (Contractor: Ti-Zack Concrete, LLC).
Route CC – ADA improvements project from Fifth Street to Felt Street in Mendon, through April 2026. (Contractor: Ti-Zack Concrete, LLC).
Route F – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Demsey Road to Hess Road, April 27, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Route F – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Hess Road to German Road, April 28-29, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
Route F – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route M to Hess Road, April 30-May 1, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
Clinton Couty
I-35 – Pavement rehabilitation in the southbound lanes from Exit 40 (Lathrop) to Exit 48 (south Cameron) through September 2026. I-35 – Utility/permit work at the 51.4 mile marker, May 2-4. North and southbound lanes will each be narrowed to one lane around the clock. Motorists should expect delays. (Contractor: Black & McDonald).
- Short-term rolling closures north and southbound from U.S. Route 36 to U.S. Route 69 to pull utility lines across the interstate, May 2.
- Route BB ramps to southbound I-35 will have short-term intermittent closures, during the rolling closures, May 2.
Daviess County
Route 13 – Resurfacing and ADA improvements project from Berry Street to Van Buren Street in Gallatin through mid-May. Route 13 will be narrowed to one lane with flaggers. (Contractor: Herzog Contracting Corp.).
Route K – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route P to Hope Avenue, April 27-28, 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.
Route PP – Seal coat overlay from Route Z to Drake Avenue, April 28.
Gentry County
Route EE – Seal coat overlay from Route T to Route P, April 29.
Grundy County
