St. Joseph, Mo. – The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in the Northwest Missouri region for the week of Oct. 20-26.
There may be moving operations throughout the region, in addition to the work mentioned below. Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. Check the MoDOT Traveler Information Map at http://traveler.modot.org, or download the app for updated information.

Andrew County
Interstate 29 – Narrowed to one lane in each direction at the Mill Creek Bridges, north of Exit 60 (Amazonia), for a bridge rehabilitation project through December 2025. (Contractor: Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc.)
Route DD – CLOSED at the Jenkins Creek Bridge near Gower for bridge approach repairs, Oct. 20. (Contractor: Capital Paving & Construction, LLC).
Route J – CLOSED for a culvert repair between County Road 106 and 410 Street in Nodaway County, Oct. 20, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Route J – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from County Road 106 to 410th Street (Nodaway County), Oct. 20, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Route D – Pavement repair just north of County Road 198, Oct. 22.
Atchison County
Route F – CLOSED at the Rock Creek Bridge for a bridge rehabilitation project through December 2025. (Contractor: Emery Sapp & Sons, Inc.)
I-29 – Concrete replacement southbound driving lane from the 114.4 mile marker to the 114.0 mile marker, Oct. 20-24. The roadway will be reduced to one lane around-the-clock.
Route YY – CLOSED from the Nodaway County line to 170th Street for a culvert replacement, Oct. 20, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Route C – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route M to W Avenue, Oct. 22, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Buchanan County
I-229 – Pavement repair project from mile marker 0 to mile marker 2.6 through October 2025. (Contractor: Herzog Contracting Corp.)
U.S. Route 36 – Scrub seal project from Route AC to I-229 through October 2025. This project will include several short-term ramp closures. (Contractor: Vance Brothers, Inc.)

I-229 – ON RAMP CLOSED for bridge inspection from Charles Street to I-229, Oct. 21-23, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
Caldwell County
Route D – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project at the Shoal Creek Bridge through November 2025. (Contractor: Cale Seymour Construction, LLC). https://www.modot.org/route-d-bridge-replacement-caldwell.
Route 13 – Bridge maintenance at the bridge over Shoal Creek, Oct. 20-24. The bridge will be narrowed to one lane around-the-clock with temporary traffic signals in place to guide motorists through the work zone.
Carroll County
U.S. Route 65 – Resurfacing project from south of Route CC to north of County Road 368 near Carrollton, through October 2025. The roadway may be narrowed to one lane with flaggers directing motorists through the work zone (Contractor: Capital Paving & Construction, LLC).
Route JJ – CLOSED at the West Fork Wakenda Creek Bridge, northwest of Norborne, Oct. 21 through mid-December 2025. (Contractor: E&C Bridge, LLC). Route B, Route D, Route JJ, and Route KK Bridge Deck Replacement in Multiple Counties | Missouri Department of Transportation.
Chariton County
Route CC – CLOSED at the Yellow Creek Bridge for a replacement project through the Northwest Bridge Bundle through December 2025. (Contractor: Capital-Horner & Shifrin) *1

Clinton County
I-35 – Pavement rehabilitation in the northbound lanes from Exit 40 (Lathrop) to Exit 48 (south Cameron) through November 2025. Route 190 – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project at the Clear Creek Bridge, north of Lock Springs, through mid-November 2025. A detour is in place directing motorists to use U.S. Route 65 and Missouri Route 6 around the closure. U.S. Route 136 – Shoulder work at the intersection of U.S. Route 71, Oct. 21, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The roadway will be narrowed to one lane.
Route EE – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Route NN to 180th Street, Oct. 22, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Route D – Culvert repair from Dragonfly Road to Danube Road, Oct. 23, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The roadway will be narrowed to one lane.
Route JJ - Culvert repair from Hawk Road to Route FF, Oct. 24, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The roadway will be narrowed to one lane.
Sullivan County
