Districts Impacted
The three bridges included in this project have been identified for improvements. The Gentry County Route B Zounds Creek Bridge was built in 1967, the Worth County U.S. Route 169 Middle Fork Grand River Bridge in 1960, and the Worth County Route M East Fork Grand River in 1962. This project will replace the bridge decks and update guardrail to current standards.
Project Progress
MoDOT contracted Benesch to design the new bridges for the Gentry County Route B Zounds Creek Bridge, Worth County U.S. Route 169 Middle Fork Grand River Bridge, and the Worth County Route M East Fork Grand River Bridge.
MoDOT will offer three opportunities to receive community feedback regarding the intersection improvement project.
- An in-person public meeting will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, from 4-6 p.m. at Worth Senior Center located at 22 W. Fourth St., Grant City, MO 64456. This will be an open house style meeting and community members are welcome to drop by anytime between 4:30 - 6 p.m. to speak with project experts and provide feedback. No formal presentation will be made.

Contractors may submit competitive bids during MoDOT's scheduled lettings. This project is scheduled to be a part of the September 2024 letting. The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission will consider all submitted bids at its scheduled monthly meeting in October 2024. If the lowest submitted bid meets all necessary criteria, the MHTC may award contracts at that time.
After the contract is awarded, MoDOT will work with the contractor to determine the construction schedule.
