MoDOT Releases Details Regarding 2021 Bagnell Dam Bridge Rehabilitation Project

Public Invited to Comment Online thru February 8 and Attend Virtual Open House on February 2

MILLER COUNTY - Information is now available regarding the rehabilitation of the Business 54 Bagnell Dam bridge over the Osage River in Lake Ozark. The Missouri Department of Transportation is inviting nearby residents and travelers to share their thoughts.

The purpose of this project is to repair the bridge deck, expansion joints and barrier walls, and to replace the bridge driving surface and repair the adjacent sidewalk.

Work will require the bridge to be closed for approximately three months. A detour route will be in place to guide motorists around the work zone. MoDOT will alert travelers and local residents of the closure ahead of time.

The work is expected to begin after the Labor Day holiday of 2021 and be completed by the end of the year.

MoDOT will also hold a virtual open house on Tuesday, February 2 from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. to discuss the rehabilitation project and answer questions. A presentation will be given every 15 minutes, approximately.

Participants can log on or call in. All participants will have the opportunity to voice their concerns or ask questions. Those joining on their computer will also be able to type in questions via the Question & Answer option, and a member of the project team will respond.

A recording of the presentation will be added to the project website for those who are unable to attend.
