Planned Road Work for Northwest Missouri, Jan. 13 - 19

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work the Missouri Department of Transportation has planned in the Northwest Missouri region for the week of Jan. 13 – 19.

Though not listed below, some routes remain closed due to flooding. View all routes closed due to flooding at http://traveler.modot.org/map/.

Inclement weather may cause schedule changes in some of the planned work. There may also be moving operations throughout the region such as pothole patching, striping, signal work, etc., in addition to the work mentioned below.

Andrew County

Route W – Brush cutting, Jan. 13 – 17

Atchison County

Route 111 – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project at the Mill Creek Bridge near Corning. The bridge will remain closed through spring 2020.

Route TT – Shoulder work, Jan. 13 – 14

Route N – Shoulder work from U.S. Route 136 to Route 46, Jan. 15 – 17

U.S. Route 59 – Culvert replacement 1 mile south of the Iowa state line, Jan. 16

Buchanan County

Route E – CLOSED for a culvert replacement from Todd Road to 95 Se, Jan. 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Caldwell County

Route U – Drainage work from NE Gillette Road to NE Gospel Lane, Jan. 13 – 15

Route F – Drainage work from SE Allis Drive to NE Shoal Station Drive, Jan. 16 – 17

Carroll County

Route C – CLOSED until further notice at the Branch of Turkey Creek Bridge due to damage from flooding. A project to replace the bridge is scheduled to be a part of the February 2020 letting.

U.S. Route 65 – Bridge maintenance at the Shootman Creek Bridge and the Mound Creek Bridge, Jan. 13 – 17. Temporary traffic signals are in place to direct motorists through the work zone.

Chariton County

U.S. Route 24 – Bridge replacement project at the Mussel Fork River and Overflow Bridges west of Keytesville through early 2020. Traffic is being diverted over a one-lane, signalized bypass during the replacement of the Mussel Fork River Overflow Bridge.

U.S. Route 24 – Bridge replacement project at the Middle Fork Chariton River and Overflow bridges through February 2020. These bridges are part of Governor Parson’s “Focus on Bridges” program. Traffic will be directed through the work zone with temporary traffic signals. A 10-foot width restriction is in place.

Daviess County

Route K – Drainage work at Jump Road, Jan. 13 – 14

Routes 190, 13, and V – Pot hole patching, Jan. 13 – 17

Route MM – Drainage work 0.5 mile north of Route 13, Jan. 15 – 17

Holt County

Route T – CLOSED until further notice at Mill Bluff Road due to roadway damage

Linn County

Route 5 – Shoulder work from U.S. Route 36 to Browning, Jan. 13 – 14

U.S. Route 36 – Pothole patching from the Macon county line to Route 139, Jan. 14 – 17

Nodaway County

Route 46 – Pothole patching from Maryville to Route 113, Jan. 13 – 17

Route 246 – Drainage work in Hopkins, Jan. 13 – 17

Sullivan County

Route PP – CLOSED until further notice at the East Medicine Creek Bridge after a regularly scheduled inspection revealed critical deterioration to the structure. Worth County

Route YY – CLOSED for a bridge replacement project at the Middle Fork of the Grand River. The bridge is part of Governor Parson’s “Focus on Bridges” program. Route F – Culvert replacement 0.1 mile north of County Road 130, Jan. 13
