MoDOT Announces 2018 Construction Projects

LEE’S SUMMIT –  The Kansas City District of the Missouri Department of Transportation announced their 2018 construction projects this week, 11 of which will be open for bid on Jan. 19.

With more than 60 projects scheduled to open or be under construction this year, the district is anticipating another busy, productive construction season. Projects range from high-impact bridge and interchange repairs to almost 500 miles of resurfacing. The department is making a more than $200 million in much needed infrastructure investment in the region.

Key projects to watch for include:

“Motorists will see several large interchange and bridge projects and a lot of paving work this year.  Construction season will be upon us before we know it, so Buckle Up and put your Phone Down.  We want everyone to arrive home safe at the end of each day,” said Assistant District Engineer Chris Redline.
