MO 45 Improvements
Project Update:
Improvements to Missouri Route 45 (Platte County) are ongoing and will continue into the Spring/Summer of 2023.
Project details:
The project includes pavement resurfacing work on the following two sections of MO 45:
- Pavement resurfacing of a 14-mile stretch of MO 45 from Buchanan County line to Rte. 273
- Pavement resurfacing and replacement of a 12-mile stretch of MO 45 from Rte. 273 to Moore's Ferry Road
The southern portion of MO 45 was resurfaced in 2022. An additional proposed project includes adding a southbound left turn lane at MO 45 and Jones-Meyer Road in 2025.
What impact will this project have on traffic?
One lane of traffic will remain open during both phases of the scheduled work. This will be under direction of a flagging operation or pilot car. Motorists should be prepared to stop.
What is the timeline for this project?
The project let in Jan. 2023. Construction is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2023. Construction is anticipated to be completed by fall of 2023. All work is weather dependent.
