The Clarkson-Radmacher Joint Venture (CRJV) is actively committed to promoting STEM and construction careers by partnering with local agencies, schools and industry groups. The goal is to grow workforce involvement by delivering meaningful opportunities, resources, and hands-on education to the communities along the I-70 project corridor. 

The team is ready to engage! Here's how your school, program, or organization can get involved:

• Industry Events & Career Fairs: CRJV is participating in career fairs and industry events to connect with students, educators, job seekers, and professionals. The team is ready to share insights, answer questions, and showcase the wide range of opportunities available in construction.
• Promoting STEM & Construction Careers in Schools: The team brings construction to the classroom with interactive, age-appropriate activities designed to spark interest in the trades. Classrooms visits may include hands-on, bridge-building challenges using simple materials tailored to different grade levels, encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork. CRJV also offers presentations on the I-70 project, real-world construction processes, and the wide range of career pathways available.
• Site Visits & Field Trips: CRJV hosts site visits and project tours to give students a firsthand look at how infrastructure is built. The team provides PPE, safety orientations, and age-appropriate content to ensure an engaging and educational experience.
• Internship Opportunities: CRJV is offering internship experiences in their project office for college students throughout the life of the project. Interns will gain real-world exposure to construction operations while working alongside experienced professionals.

• February 7, 2026 - NAWIC Kansas City Block Kids
  • Free event for students in the 1st - 6th grades
  • Registration required in advance:  https://www.kcnawic.org/block-kids-signup-2026.html
  • A hands-on trade fair (8:30AM-10:00AM) is followed by a building block competition (10:15AM-11:00AM) where participants will be asked to use their imagination to build a community structure of their choice using building blocks, construction paper, tinfoil, and string. When complete, they'll describe the inspiration and building methods to a volunteer "Building Inspector" with top structures from each age group earning a prize.
