Did you use the Emergency Response service? Let us know how we did!
MoDOT's Emergency Response operators are trained professionals who work closely with other emergency services to ensure the safety and efficiency of traffic. They can provide roadside assistance such as tire changes, fuel delivery and minor repairs. They also support fire, police and EMT crews during major incidents. Additionally, they perform emergency road maintenance, debris removal, and other tasks to improve the road conditions during off hours.
If you encounter a problem on patrol routes, you should safely move your vehicle to the right shoulder as far as possible and wait for an Emergency Response truck to arrive. Please remember that Missouri state law requires you to move your vehicle out of the driving lane after an accident unless there are injuries, or the vehicle is immovable.
Motorist Assist operators patrol the St. Louis region’s interstates. Typical routes in the patrol area include:
- I-44, from west of Six Flags to downtown
- I-55, from Route M to downtown
- I-64, from I-70 to downtown
- I-70, from I-64 to downtown
- I-170, entire route
- I-270/255, from Riverview Drive to Jefferson Barracks Bridge
- Route 364 (Page extension), from Route 94 to I-270
Call MoDOT at 1-888-ASK-MODOT (275-6636) to report any incidents on the highway, to include crashes, potholes, objects in the roadway or vehicle breakdowns.
