Project Facts:
- Remove & replace driving surfaces on both bridges
- Additionally, deck & joint repair and other maintenance work will be performed
- Bridges will be CLOSED one at a time
- The first bridge will reopen before work on second bridge begins
- Work is expected to take up to four months per bridge
Traffic Impacts:
- Routes C & ZZ will be CLOSED one at a time
- Drivers will have access to driveways and field entrances at either end of the bridges, but will not be able to pass through the work zones
- Drivers urged to use St. Clair County Routes Z and NN to avoid the work zones

- Built 1974
- Approximately 432 vehicles per day cross the bridge
- Bridge in poor condition, requiring frequent maintenance
Route ZZ:
- Built 1978
- Approximately 296 vehicles per day cross the bridge
- Bridge in poor condition, requiring frequent maintenance
Construction: Work could begin as early as Spring 2020
Estimated Total Cost: $5.7 million
