Rehabilitation Project for Two St. Clair County Bridges

At Truman Lake Focus of Sept. 12 Public Open House

Lowry City – The public is invited to learn more about projects to rehabilitate two bridges that span Truman Lake, one on St.Clair County Route C and the other on St. Clair County Route ZZ, during a public open house Thursday, September 12, in Lowry City, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

The open house is scheduled 4:30-6 p.m., Thursday, September 12, at the Lakeland Scout Hall at the corner of Route A and Route 13 in Lowry City. It is come-and-go style with NO formal presentation. Those who attend the in-person meeting can come at any time during the meeting.

MoDOT representatives will be on hand to answer questions about the construction timeline and traffic impacts.

Those unable to attend the public meeting in person can visit www.modot.org/southwest and view information about the project.

The project which will replace the decks (driving surface) on both bridges is scheduled for 2020.

Routes C and ZZ will be CLOSED – one at a time – during the project. Drivers will have access to driveways and field entrances at either end of the bridges but will not be able to pass across the bridges during construction.

Traffic will be directed to a signed detour using St. Clair Routes Z and NN to avoid the work zones.

The project is estimated to cost $5.7 million.
