About this project

MoDOT will remove and replace the Route Z bridge over the Platte River in Platte County. This bridge carries approximately 700 vehicles a day. MoDOT decided to replace this 57-year-old bridge because of the age and condition of the structure.

MoDOT plans to begin construction in summer 2024 and will take 9-12 months to complete.

Traffic implications

Route Z will be closed during construction. Signed detour will be Route B to Missouri Route 116 to Route Z.
