Project Progress
MoDOT's Planning and Design team plan to replace the Miami Station Branch Bridge with a box culvert.
The contract for the bridge rehabilitation was part of the January 2022 letting, when contractors submitted competitive bids on the project. The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded the $359,816.25 contract to Gene Haile Excavating, Inc. and gave the contractor a March 7, 2022 notice to proceed date. This is the earliest date the contractor could begin work.
Contractors began work May 16 and have 129 calendar days to complete the project, by contract. They plan to have the road reopened on or before September 11, 2022.
