Gasconade River Bridge Rehabilitations
Below are details, resources and news about the rehabilitations of the Gasconade County Route 100 bridge, the Maries County Route 42 bridge and the Osage County Route 89 all located over the Gasconade River. All three bridges reached the point where rehabilitation is necessary to extend the life and usability of the bridges.
All three bridges were included in Gov. Mike Parson’s $351 million Focus on Bridges program, which will repair or replace 250 bridges across the state. Check out the Focus on Bridges page for more information about the program.

The project is complete.
Cost:
The contracted cost for the project is $3,190,000.
Work Taking Place:
The Route 100 bridge received a protective coating to its substructure and a recoat to the structural steel in its superstructure. The Route 42 bridge received deck repairs, a new approach slab and upgraded guardrails. The Route 89 bridge received a new bridge deck that is two feet wider than the existing bridge deck, new barriers, a new approach slab and upgraded guardrails.
Project Milestones
The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded the contract for the project to West Plains Bridge and Grading, which submitted the low bid of $3,190,000. This project was awarded in combination with the Osage County Route 89 bridge redeck project over Swan Creek.
The bridge was completed on September 2, 2020.
