East Fork Longs Creek Bridge to be Replaced
SIKESTON - The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting regarding improvements to the Route 51 bridge over East Fork Longs Creek in Bollinger County. The meeting will be held on Thursday, August 26 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Meadow Heights High School Library, located on Route 72.
The meeting will have an open-house format, meaning visitors can stop by to talk one-on-one with a member of the project team anytime between 4 and 6 p.m. No formal presentation will be given.
The project will include replacing the East Fork Longs Creek bridge near Patton. Work to replace the bridge could begin as early as January 2011. The roadway will remain closed as construction is underway. Detour routes will be posted.
