Howard County Route P bridge over Bonne Femme Creek now open

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – The Howard County Route P bridge over Bonne Femme Creek   is now open. Construction crews completed the new driving surface and reopened the roadway today, Aug. 9, 2024.

The contractor, Gene Haile Excavating Inc., working with the Missouri Department of Transportation, closed Route P over Bonne Femme Creek on May 28 for a bridge deck replacement project. The bridge deck, built in 1961, was in poor condition and needed to be replaced. The new bridge deck is wider at 24 feet  and new guardrail was installed.
