Cooper County Route HH reopens at Brush Creek

Bridge replacement project closed the bridge Feb. 19

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo – The new Brush Creek Bridge is now open on Cooper County Route HH. Contractors closed the old Brush Creek Bridge, built in 1957 west of Pilot Grove, on Feb. 19 in order to replace the one-lane bridge, poor-condition bridge with a new wider, safer bridge that is striped for two-way traffic.

The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded a $764, 119.69 contract to Widel, Inc. to complete the project. The contractor was able to complete the project on schedule, but roadway flooding delayed the reopening. Crews opened the new bridge to all traffic today, Thursday, May 2, 2024.
