MoDOT Releases Details Regarding 2022 Moniteau County Bridge Replacement Project

Public Invited to Comment Online thru June 15

MONITEAU COUNTY - Information is now available regarding the replacement of the Moniteau County Route A bridge over Enon Creek, located west of Enon. The Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) is inviting nearby residents and travelers to share their thoughts.

The existing bridge was built in 1939 and has reached the point where replacement is necessary. The proposed new bridge will raise the roadway grade by six inches to help with flooding.

Route A will be closed to traffic at the bridge during construction. Motorists will need to use alternate routes. MoDOT says road closure information will be announced through signs, media releases and social media when a timeline for the project has been established.

The work is expected to begin and be completed in 2022.

Motorists and area residents can ask questions or provide feedback on this project using the digital comment form at modot.org/EnonCreekBridge. The online public comment period is open through June 15.
