Contracts Awarded for Northwest Missouri bridge projects

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded four contracts to replace or rehabilitate seven bridges in Northwest Missouri this week. Six of these bridges are included in Gov. Parson’s “Focus on Bridges” program passed by the Missouri General Assembly during its 2019 session. The program appropriated $50 million in state general revenue to fund 45 high-priority bridge projects throughout the state. The four contracts awarded include the following:

  • Atchison County Route U over Drainage Ditch, Holt County Route T over Spring Creek, Holt County Route T over Easter Creek, and Holt County Route H over Nichols Creek
    • Bridge deck replacement projects
    • Part of the “Focus on Bridges” program
    • A single contract for all four bridges awarded to Phillips Hardy, Inc. in the amount of $1,805,416.35
  • Buchanan County Route 116 over Interstate 29
    • Bridge replacement project
    • Awarded to Clarkson Construction Company in the amount of $1,542,023.15
  • DeKalb County Route A over North Fork Lost Creek
  • Worth County Route YY over Middle Fork Grand River
