MoDOT will replace the Chariton River Bridge on Missouri Route 6 near Novinger in Adair County. MO Route 6 will need to be closed two separate times during construction. The abandoned Norfolk Southern railroad bridge on Route 136, 1.2 miles west of Route 63 in Schuyler County also will be removed as a part of this contract.. U.S. Route 136 will be closed 40 days to remove the old bridge and construct new embankment and pavement in the same location.
