Electronic Signatures General Information

In January 2017, the department began offering the option to electronically sign agreements.  Many business partners were excited about this opportunity especially when different signers worked in different offices.  This allowed the execution process to flow seamlessly, without having to worry about the agreement getting correctly routed from one person or office to another or lost in the mail.

With challenging times during the pandemic and learning new ways to conduct business, the department has implemented a new policy only allowing electronic signatures.  Any paper agreements containing wet signatures will require a written justification as to why it is not being executed electronically.  The department realizes there are some documents that may still require wet signatures, but these should be limited.
