Resurfacing and Guardrail Work on Interstate 44 from MM 145-177
Summer 2019
Project Overview:
The project included Interstate 44 resurfacing in Laclede, Pulaski and Phelps counties and bridge repair on three Phelps County bridges:
- The eastbound and westbound Interstate 44 bridges over Smith and Tater Hollow near Jerome.
- The I-44 westbound off-ramp bridge to Route D (Jerome) near Jerome.
Contractors extended the existing I-44 westbound climbing lane at mile marker 171.8 an additional 800 feet. This allows motorists more time to accelerate and merge with I-44 westbound traffic.
This project also included resurfacing and guardrail work on I-44 from mile marker 145-177 in Laclede, Pulaski and Phelps counties.
Cost:
$12.9 million
