College Employment Training Program

The Missouri Department of Transportation is seeking highly motivated students to fill College Employment Training (CET) positions. 

MoDOT’s CET Program gives students the chance to use current classroom knowledge and gain hands-on experience in their field of study in a professional workplace. 

The workplace experience is designed to compliment classroom learning and setting students up for success.

Positions are available statewide for students majoring in programs such as:

    • Traffic Studies

    • Structural Design

    • Construction Inspection

  • Construction & Materials
    • Chemistry

    • Geotechnical

  • Design

To be eligible, you must:

  • Have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
  • Be enrolled and pursing a two-year degree in a STEM-related program or four-year degree in a STEM-related or business-related field.
  • Be enrolled full time at a public funded Missouri college or university.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Meet MoDOT's hiring requirements and minimum qualifications for available MoDOT-related technician positions.

Program eligibility is determined by the CET coordinator and Human Resources staff.
