Project Milestones
May 18, 2020 - Damage from roadway slide prompts closure of Carroll County Route Z between Route C and County Road 217.
The Missouri Department of Transportation, working with consultants from HNTB, designed a project to address the geological issues and repair the roadway.
The project was part of MoDOT's March 2022 letting where contractors submitted competitive bids for the project. At their April 2022 meeting, the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded a $657,834.35 contract to Mera Excavating, LLC of Bonnots Mill, Missouri.
The Notice to Proceed (the earliest the contractor could begin work) was May 10, 2022. The slide repair project began June 13, 2022.
The slide repair and resurfacing were complete, and the road reopened, on Aug. 4, 2022.
