The Missouri Route 14 Widening Project will widen Route 14 to five lanes between 6th Avenue and 14th Avenue in Ozark. The public meeting will be held at the Christian County Ambulance District Conference Room.

The 'Forward 44: Southwest I-44 Improvements Project' is a Design-Build initiative that includes enhancements at multiple locations along I-44, spanning from Newton County to Laclede County. This project is part of the Forward 44 Planning Study.. The meeting will be held at the Joplin Public Library.

The open-house style meeting will provide the opportunity for nearby residents, businesses, and travelers to learn about and provide comments regarding the planned improvements. No formal presentation will be made. The public can come and go as they need anytime during the advertised hours. Engineers and staff from the Missouri Department of Transportation and the design consultant Burns & McDonnell will be on hand to answer questions.
Written comments may be submitted at the meeting. Those interested can also review materials and make comments on the project website beginning on Monday, July 21, until Wednesday, Aug. 20.

The Missouri Department of Transportation held the open house-style public meeting to share plans for a project starting in 2026 that resurfaces the roadway between Tucker Boulevard and Skinker Parkway/Kienlen Avenue and addresses some safety concerns along the corridor. These concerns were gathered and discussed during two previous public meetings about this section of Route D.
