The Greene County Route MM Realignment Project includes building a new Route MM between Farm Road 160 and Route 60, installing a roundabout on Route MM and Farm Road 160, and build a bridge over BNSF Railroad south of Haile Street.
Two bridge replacements will take place on Interstate 29/35, as well as widening of the bridge over Front Street. The two bridge replacements take place on either side of the Christopher S. Bond Bridge (Kit Bond Bridge).
NORTH ST. LOUIS COUNTY - Staff and consultants with the Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) will host a public meeting for its Route AC (New Halls Ferry Rd.) Safety and Operational Improvements project on Wednesday, Feb. 25 from 4-6 p.m. The meeting will be held at the James J. Eagan Community Center, 1 James J. Eagan Dr., 63033.
This is the second of two public meetings. The meeting is open house-style and individuals may attend at any time during the indicated hours to view conceptual designs for the project and share their thoughts with team members.
This project will replace the current McDonald County Route H bridge over Goodin Hollow Creek with a new bridge that is 10 feet longer and four (4) feet wider than the current bridge. In addition, the contractor will add permanent striping and object markers to the ends of the bridge.
MoDOT plans to replace two bridges on Route D and Route 34 in Cape Girardeau County.
The projects include:
Work to replace the Route D bridge could begin as early as spring 2027. During construction, the roadway will be closed in the vicinity of the bridge for approximately four months. A signed detour will be in place from Route D to Route E to Interstate 55 to Business I-55.
Work to replace the Route 34 bridge could begin as early as spring 2028. The bridge will be constructed parallel to the existing structure to avoid closing the roadway. Temporary traffic signals will be in place to guide traffic through the work zone. Construction will be underway for approximately seven months.
SIKESTON – Route M in Oregon County will be reduced to one lane with a 10-foot width restriction as construction crews perform pavement improvements including culvert replacements, pavement repairs, and bridge maintenance.
