SIKESTON- The Missouri Department of Transportation will hold an open-house community briefing to discuss replacing the Route D bridge over Salem Creek in Ste. Genevieve County. The briefing will be held Tuesday, March 29 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Farmington Civic Center, Two Black Knight Drive.
The project will be completed through the Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement Program.
"The Route N bridge over Saline Creek was the first Ste. Genevieve County bridge to receive improvements through Safe & Sound," said Southeast Regional Field Engineer Andy Meyer. "Unlike the Route N project, the Route D project will include constructing a completely new bridge."
As construction is underway, the roadway will remain closed. Work is expected to begin this May.
